Joke (Sconcia) by Leonardo da Vinci:the Salacious Side of a Genius

The faces of Leonardo and the Mona Lisa, one of his most famous works by him. The artist and scientist apparently had a taste for jokes and salacious jokes

Can you imagine that unsurpassed genius of Leonardo da Vinci tell jokes, moreover, rather dirty ?

Well, it seems that the great Renaissance artist and scientist had a taste for salacious jokes and loved to make others laugh with funny risque jokes. like the one I report below (I found it here:http://www.focus.it/cultura/arte/cose-che-forse-non-sai-su-leonardo-da-vinci, where you can read many others curiosity about this extraordinary character).

The joke is this: “One of her had very red feet and, as she passed by, a priest asked with admiration where this redness led; to which the female immediately replied that this effect happened because she had under her fire. Then the priest put his hand to that member, which made him be more a priest than a nun, and, to that one approached, with a sweet and soft voice he prayed to the one that, in courtesy, I should light that candle for them a little ".

No doubt about it, a truly irreverent and goliardic Leonardo as perhaps it was difficult to imagine.
