This article is a draft for completion concerning the story, you can share your knowledge by modifying it.

The Iceni were a Celtic Brython people present in the region that is now Norfolk in north-eastern Brittany, between the 1st century BC. AD and the 1st century AD

Roman invasion

Under the Roman Empire, their main city or civitas was Venta Icenorum (Caister by Norwich today). At the time of the Roman invasion, their leader, Prasutagus, became their ally as a result of which, the Emperor Claudius left him as king but from the Roman point of view, it was for the period of his life. When he died, the fact that the kingdom was to revert to the emperor and that Boadicea, the wife of Praesutagus, and her daughters were raped by Roman officers, caused a revolt. In 61, London was destroyed following the failure of the uprising against Rome led by Queen Boadicea herself (Bodicea or Bouddica).
