Missions
Organization

The 23rd Marine Infantry Battalion belongs to the French forces of Cape Verde (FFCV). The land deputy to the commander of the FFCV (COMTERRE) exercises organic command.

Created in 1979, by changing the name of the 10th BIMa, it has retained its structures and location. It draws its specificity from its geographical position in the Cape Verde peninsula, its integration into a joint environment with "Navy" responsibility and its insertion into the Senegalese environment, both military and civilian.

In a setting conducive to both professional and family development, the 23rd Marine Infantry Battalion is a tool adapted to the mission but strictly sized and forms a human community perfectly integrated into the local environment.
