The Fine Arts Department has excavated and studied the ancient monuments of Wat Ku Pa Dom in the year 1999 – 2000 (Department of Fine Arts 2005:61 – 62).

The archaeological site of Wat Ku Ba Dom is characterized by a densely distributed group of ancient sites, consisting of a viharn facing east. pagoda behind the temple The altars are located on the west and north side of the pagoda, one on each side, a glass wall in the form of a lotus-backed lotus (capped lotus) and a Khong arch.

Architectural features

1. Vihara is a hall hall, at present, only the base part is left in the rectangular plan, lifting 2 front sections and 2 back sections, the same as Wihan Wat Phra Ut. The floor of the viharn is paved with bricks, plastered with white plaster, consisting of 7 pairs of pillar bases and a staircase in front. and a small staircase on either side of the back room. Only the front of the stairs is decorated with a lonely body (Tang Wan)

Artifacts found

Determination of age

From a comparative study of architectural styles in Ku Pa Dom Temple It was found that it was a popular style built in the Lanna Kingdom during the 21st - 22nd Buddhist century. In addition, the excavated artifacts can be of a similar age. Therefore, it is assumed that the ancient site of Wat Ku Pa Dom is probably in the 21st - 22nd Buddhist century.
