Maria Skłodowska-Curie

Maria Skłodowska-Curie (1867-1934) - Polish physicist and chemist. In 1898, she discovered two new chemical elements:polonium and radium. In 1903 she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics and in 1911 in Chemistry. From 1906, she headed the chair of physics at the Sorbonne in Paris.
