Historical story

What is Haj?

It is the name of the pilgrimage to the city of Mecca that every Muslim must make at least once in their lifetime. Place where the Black Stone is found, which would have been given to Abram by the angel Gabriel.

Haj lasts for six days, it takes place in the last month of the Muslim calendar, prayers made during this period must be one for each day of pilgrimage.

Pilgrims must go around the Kaaba seven times, and the next day go to the Mina, where they prepare for the highlight of the pilgrimage:the prayer on Mount Arafat, where Muhammad is said to have delivered his last sermon.

Then the crowd goes to the place where the three pillars representing the demons are found, which are stoned with seven pebbles, which were preferably collected from Mount Arafat.

On the same day, the sacrificial ritual follows:one ram per person or one cow or camel for each group of six. Over the next three days, pilgrims gorge themselves on their way back, buy groceries, men shave their heads and everyone repeats the ritual around the Kaaba.
