The whole truth about the Home Army. Do you know these 8 facts?

Action under the Arsenal, the elimination of Franz Kutschera or finally Action Góral are symbols of the Home Army's activities. Meanwhile, the history of the Secret State is full of surprising facts about which school textbooks are silent. It is high time to recall them.

Home Army soldiers managed to take over the whole city . On the night of August 31 to September 1, 1943, they took control of the village of Końskie. The disproportion of forces was thirty to one in favor of the Germans. No Home Army died in this daring action (read more about that).

The Polish underground sentenced Poles to death. Only in Krakow, since 1940, the soldiers of the ZWZ-AK liquidated several dozen hacks. And no wonder. In all of occupied Poland, the Gestapo had about 60,000 agents and associates (read more about this).

The most dangerous work in the underground was done by women . Every day they risked their lives carrying reports, guns and bad parcels.
On average, their underground career lasted only three months. Few of them had a chance to live to the end of the war (read more on that).

Krakow was a key place for executors from the Home Army. It was in this city that both the first and the last great coup of the Home Army took place . On April 20, 1943, underground soldiers severely wounded SS commander Friedrich Krüger . On July 11, 1944, they made an unsuccessful attempt to attack Wilhelm Koppe (read more on this).

She used the most ruthless methods in the fight against the AK occupier . Over-zealous Volksdeutsches were reported "voluntarily" to the Wehrmacht. In bars, alcohol was poisoned with lethal germs. The Secret State has even gone so far as to cooperate with the criminal world (read more on this).
