The 'art tattoo it is very ancient and typical of many peoples, including the Egyptian one.

Egyptian women were assiduous and scrupulous in the care of their beauty, which was also achieved through the display of tattoos aesthetically pleasing and with a high symbolic value.

The technique used for their execution consisted in inoculating some specific substances under the first layer of skin, especially oil and soot, which was then given the desired shape.

The most popular subjects were those of religious significance, in particular the goddess Bes, linked to the female sphere, while the favorite part of the body on which to show off the tattoos was the lower abdomen , just above the groin.
