The oldest image of Confucius may have been discovered so far known:it would be the one imprinted on a bronze mirror belonging to the rich grave goods of a tomb discovered 5 years ago and of which the remains of the illustrious owner and guest have been finally identified only a few months ago.

Not just any one, but Liu Hen , known as the Marquis of Haihun , emperor of China as far back as 74 BC. for only 27 days, a period after which he was deposed and stripped of all his powers and privileges, apart from the noble title with which he then went down in history.
