Colonel de Langlade
Commander of Tactical Group "L" Signed:Langlade
At 12 o'clock precisely, I was driving over the Pont de Sèvres, towards the Porte de Saint-Cloud piloted by my nephew Le Lasseur, with behind me, Lieutenant-Colonel LorrainCruze, dispatched, to my meeting by the F. F.I. , and by whose order the barricades had been removed during the night on the course stopped. I realized much later that this Lorrain-Cruze happened to be, through his marriage, which I did not know at the time, my close relative!
This victorious family return to Paris took on a particular spice .
In Edmont-Vaillant Avenue, where Bort's squadron preceded me, a huge crowd cheers the troops. Demonstrations of enthusiasm break out everywhere with a violence that makes me fear for a moment that I will not be able to clear our way without accidents.
At a certain moment, avenue Mozart, stopped by the immense crowd moving in great various waves like fields of wheat blowing in the wind, I find Massu ashore coming towards me.

I can't help but burst out laughing at the face tormented barred by the hard visor of the helmet, which disappears under the lipstick left on the cheeks by countless women who no doubt swore to kiss the first French people they would meet.
