The civil war in China started in 1928 AD. In 1925, Mao Zedong led the Hunan's huge peasant movement. Mao Zedong was born in Hunan in 1893 AD. Chiang Kai-shek took over the power of the central government in Nanking.

Chiang Kai-shek established his government in Formosa. Chiang Kai-shek formed the Blueshirt terrorist group to suppress the communists. Under the leadership of Mao Zedong, on 1 October 1949, the People's Republic was established in China.
