Where is gold mostly found?

Primary Gold Deposits

- Veins and Lodes: These are long, narrow cracks in the Earth's crust that are filled with minerals. Gold can be found in these veins along with other minerals, such as quartz and calcite.

- Disseminated Deposits: These are large areas of rock that contain small amounts of gold disseminated throughout. Gold is usually found in these deposits as small grains or specks.

- Alluvial Deposits: These are formed when gold is eroded from its original location and deposited in rivers and streams. Gold can be found in alluvial deposits as placer deposits, which are concentrations of heavy minerals, such as gold.

Secondary Gold Deposits

- Residual Deposits: These are formed when gold is weathered out of its original location and remains in the soil. Gold can be found in residual deposits as placer deposits.

- Eluvial Deposits: These are formed when gold is weathered out of its original location and transported downhill by gravity. Gold can be found in elua vial deposits as placer deposits.
