What are a few homes that hunter gatherers used?

* Caves and rock shelters: These provided natural shelter from the elements, and could be found in many different environments.

* Huts: These were simple structures made from branches, leaves, and other natural materials. They were often built in forests or near bodies of water.

* Tents: These were made from animal skins or cloth, and were used by hunter-gatherers who moved frequently.

* Pit houses: These were dug into the ground, and were often used in cold climates.

* Longhouses: These were large, rectangular structures that could house many families. They were often used by Native American tribes in the eastern United States.
