Did anyone find Harold Godwinsons body?

Harold Godwinson's body was never found after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. His death is recorded in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, which states that he was "killed in the battle, and his body was not found". This is supported by the Bayeux Tapestry, which depicts Harold being killed by Norman soldiers but does not show his body being recovered.

The absence of Harold's body has led to much speculation about what happened to it. Some historians believe that it may have been lost in the chaos of battle or that it was taken by the Normans as a trophy. Others have suggested that Harold's body may have been buried in secret by his supporters, or that it was hidden in a nearby monastery or church.

Despite the lack of evidence, the mystery of Harold Godwinson's body continues to fascinate historians and researchers.
