What was the fate of lighthouse Alexandria structure?

The Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, was a towering structure that stood on the island of Pharos near Alexandria, Egypt.

Fate of the Lighthouse:

* The lighthouse was severely damaged by three major earthquakes that occurred in the 4th, 5th, and 14th centuries.

* The first earthquake in 365 AD caused significant damage to the upper parts of the lighthouse.

* Another major earthquake in 1303 AD further weakened the structure, leading to its partial collapse.

* The final blow came in 1375-76 AD when another severe earthquake caused the remaining parts of the lighthouse to collapse into the sea.

Over time, the ruins of the lighthouse gradually disappeared beneath the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, leaving only fragments and debris. In modern times, archaeological excavations and underwater explorations have been conducted in an attempt to uncover the remains of this iconic structure.
