The scientific name for humans, *Homo sapiens*, means "wise man". However, some people consider the name misleading, as it implies that humans are more intelligent than other animals, when in reality there are many animals that are just as intelligent, or even more so, than humans. For example, dolphins and chimpanzees have both been shown to have remarkable intelligence, and there are even some species of birds that have been shown to be capable of complex problem-solving and tool use.
