Historical story

It did not look like in "Four Panzer". Learn the truth about the Soviet liberation of Poland

After the nightmare of the German occupation, Poles welcomed the Soviets with tears of joy in their eyes. I quickly sobered up. The Black Death has been replaced by the Red Plague. Rapes, murders and the wave of looting became commonplace again. Thanks to our new book you will learn what the liberation of Poland really looked like.

The easiest way is to calculate material, although these will also be underestimated. Losses in Polish national property, counting only in the pre-war Polish lands within the present borders, amounted to as much as 54 billion today's dollars.

More about the activities of the Red Army in Poland in the newest book by Dariusz Kaliński, “Czerwona Zaraza. What the liberation of Poland really looked like. ”

The territory of the country shrank from 390,000 to over 312,000 square kilometers, and refuges of Polishness such as Grodno and Lviv found themselves abroad. The number of victims of the communist repressions of 1944–1954, the period when the "people's power" was installed and strengthened in Poland through Moscow governors, historians estimate even 50,000 . The graves of most of them have not been found.

The enormity of human suffering experienced by them and their families is also impossible to calculate with any value. It is impossible to estimate the tragedy of tens of thousands of raped women, the pain of people deprived of livelihood, home, prospects and freedom. The worst thing, however, was that the Red Army, on its bayonets, brought to our country an inhuman system that caused irreparable havoc in the hearts and minds of entire generations of Poles. In many respects, this state of affairs continues today.
