How was Richard the third killed?

King Richard III died at the Battle of Bosworth Field on 22 August 1485. He was killed in the final stages of the battle which marked the end of the Plantagenet dynasty and the beginning of the Tudor dynasty.

During the battle, Richard III led a courageous charge against the Lancastrian forces. According to some accounts, his horse slipped and he fell to the ground. While still on the ground, he was swarmed by Lancastrian soldiers who killed him.

Another version of the events suggests that Richard III was not immediately noticed. He fought on fiercely, but was eventually overwhelmed and killed.

The exact circumstances surrounding his death are still a matter of debate, but it is clear that King Richard III died in battle, fighting bravely against his enemies. His death marked a significant turning point in English history.
