What happened to Alamo?

The Alamo is a historic site located in San Antonio, Texas, USA. It was the site of the famous Battle of the Alamo in 1836, where a small group of Texan defenders held out against a much larger Mexican army for 13 days. The battle ended with the defeat of the Texans and the deaths of all but a handful of defenders, including famous figures like Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie.

After the battle, the Alamo was abandoned and fell into disrepair. It was later restored and is now a popular tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors each year. The Alamo is considered a symbol of Texan courage and sacrifice, and its legacy continues to be celebrated and remembered today.
