* Low pay: Wages were very low, and workers often had to work long hours just to make ends meet.
* Dangerous conditions: Factories were often unsafe, with poor ventilation and lighting, and dangerous machinery. Workers were frequently injured or killed on the job.
* Child labor: Children as young as 6 or 7 years old were often employed in factories, working long hours for very low wages.
The combination of these factors made working conditions in the early industrial revolution extremely difficult and dangerous for workers. Many workers suffered from health problems, injuries, and premature death.
