What happened to anne of cleves?

After her marriage to Henry VIII was dissolved in 1540, Anne of Cleves was given a generous settlement, including two castles and a significant income. She enjoyed a peaceful and comfortable retirement, living at various royal palaces and estates. She formed a close friendship with Henry's daughter, Mary, and remained on good terms with Henry himself. Anne continued to be treated as a member of the royal family and never remarried. She passed away on July 16, 1557, at the age of 41, and was buried in Westminster Abbey.
