Historical story

Were many Jews murdered during the Holocaust?

The Holocaust was a genocide during World War II in which Nazi Germany and its collaborators systematically murdered approximately six million European Jews, around two-thirds of the Jewish population of Europe, between 1941 and 1945. Jews were targeted for extermination as part of a larger plan of racial purity and world domination. The Holocaust was carried out in stages, beginning with the persecution of Jews in Germany, and culminating with the mass murder of Jews in purpose-built extermination camps. The Holocaust is considered to be one of the most horrific genocides in human history.
