March 25:The Dark Hours of 1821 - Revolution, Civil War and Repentance on the Battlefields

The professor of History at the Ikaros School, Konstantinos Lagos, talks to Militaire.gr about the Revolution of 1821. He reads us the whole history... Its brilliant pages. Her "dark moments", in which her great Heroes were involved in a negative way. It tells us of their repentance, after the civil wars and atrocities by Greeks against Greeks, which threatened the Revolution. Repentance they demonstrated by giving their very lives in battles that ultimately kept her alive.

How did a nation that everyone wanted to forget its existence for 400 years rebelled? What was the role of foreigners with the loans they rushed to give us? Why couldn't we build a state from the beginning? And finally, why are we afraid to read our entire history, to finally learn from our mistakes?

See the excerpt of the interview where he talks about two great figures of the Revolution:Karaiskakis and Papaflessa. Both heroes of the Revolution took part in the bloody civil wars that threatened the struggle of the Greeks and finally consciously chose to die fighting the Turks again in a practical act of penance.
