Muslim invasion of India

  • The first successful Muslim invasion of India was done by Muhammad bin Qasim in 712 AD. He had conquered Shind and Multan.
  • Mohammed Ghaznabi has made 17 attacks between 1001 and 1027 AD. The most famous of these was the attack on the Shiva temple of Somnath in 1025 AD.
