Formori (or Formori)

Innumerable and monstrous demonic people, who fought and tried to subjugate the successive mythical races that populated Ireland. The Formori succeeded in imposing their domination on the people of Nemed, after the death of its king Nemed. The tribute that these people had to pay to the Formori at the feast of Samain consisted of two-thirds of their wheat, their milk and their children. Desperate, the people of Nemed attacked the Fomorian fortress, located on an island, but only the crew of a ship, thirty men, survived the enterprise. It was then divided into two:some would have left for Greece, the others towards the north. The second battle of Mag Tuired opposed the Formori to the Tuatha Dé Danann.
