Makeup in Ancient Egypt

In ancient Egypt wearing make-up was a daily habit for both women and men.
In fact, they expressed themselves with make-up, wigs and hair dyes.
The practice of make-up had a ritual and symbolic motivation.
It was not driven by vain reasons but it went far beyond.
Eye make-up was a way to protect them from glare and infections. They were convinced that the makeup had healing powers.
