Bread in Ancient Egypt

Bread in Ancient Egypt:manufacturing process

At the base of the power supply in Ancient Egypt there was bread, which was produced in many different forms following a manufacturing process quite long and laborious.

The salient phases of the aforementioned procedure are reproduced in various models and paintings that we can still observe today and that allow us to learn about many aspects of daily life at the time.

It was made mostly of barley, which was kneaded and ground before being placed in special containers to be baked.

As for the shape of the bread, the Egyptians were quite imaginative:you could find round ones, with holes in the center, in the shape of a pyramid and even an animal.
