General Condition

Archaeological Site No. 1 is located in the northwest corner outside the moat of Khu Bua Ancient City (about 200 meters from the northwest corner of the moat) and is located on the edge of Huai Khu Bua. Opposite Ban Khu Bua Railway Station

Before the excavation in the year 1961, this archaeological site is a mound of ancient bricks covered with soil on top, about 3 meters high, 9 meters wide on each side.

Today, the archaeological site has been excavated and restored. as well as arranging the landscape around the ancient site to be orderly and beautiful.

At present, archaeological site No. 1, Mueang Khu Bua, only the base of a square chedi is left, made of bricks, with a base 6 meters long on each side. The current height is about 2 meters. The general characteristics are similar to the ancient monument number 44, namely the bottom of the chopping board. square layout 6 meters long on each side Next up is the lotus base. in the square lift the gauge or the bulb But different from Archaeological Site No. 44, Archaeological Site No. 1 has more recesses. and a square hole around the base (a wooden bottom) is divided into 2 layers No sculpture decorations were found within the aisle. Above is part of the pagoda that is now completely destroyed.

Prof.Dr.Sakchai Saising (2004:112) commented that making the base for lifting the gauge or lifting the bulb causing the building wall to form a hole be beautiful and would also be intended to decorate sculptures A pagoda with raised temples at the four corners causing a similar appearance to the corner pillar This style may be compared with contemporary architecture such as the castle of the early Cham art called "Kalan" and "Chandi" in Central Javanese art. or the Khmer castle in the old days of Phra Nakhon
