archaeological essence

Wat Tarakorn is a royal temple in the Maha Nikaya side, according to the temple registration of the National Buddhism Office (2522), indicating that the temple was established in 1782 and was bestowed upon Wisung Kam Sima. 1857

Wat Tarakorn was formerly known as "Wat Bang Noi" after the village name. Important things within this temple include the chapel, which is a brick building with mortar. There is a porch protruding from the front and sides. The roof is shingle with earthenware, decorated with bouquets of flowers, rooster leaves and swan tails. The window arches are in the shape of a crown. In the front area there is an inscription indicating the year "2476 B.E." and above the side door inscription that "Built in the Year of the Rooster". Above the north door, there are inscriptions "Jor. 1295" and "R.S. 152". The front porch is decorated with a sculpture similar to Hassadi Link. The wooden pedestal area is decorated with paintings depicting stars, birds, bats, butterflies and flowers (Phanuwat Euasamarn et al. 2018:255).
