General Condition

Wat Nikhom Prateep is a temple that is still in use today, the present Ubosot is an archaeological site that has been well preserved and the area is generally flat. The location of the temple is a hill Surrounded by a rather dense community due to being in the city In front or on the north side, adjacent to Highway 4045, on the east and south there is Khlong Nang Noi flowing through.

Wat Nikhom Prateep It is a royal temple under the Maha Nikaya Sangha. It was built in 1880, formerly known as "Wat Khok Lo" because it is located on a hump area with a lot of Lor forest. The temple was granted Wisung Kham Sima on November 10, 1914, Wisung Kham Sima District, width 22 meters, length 26 meters, tied with Phatthasima in 1917. Later in 1941, the name of Wat Khok Lo was changed to “Wat Nikhom Prateep” (Phanuwat Ua Samal et al. 2018; National Buddhism Office 2022)

Inside the temple, there are important things, including the Ubosot built in 1949, rectangular shape, 9.5 meters wide, 17.5 meters long, reinforced concrete structure. The roof is traditional Thai style in the southern region, cascading 3 floors, decorated with blue flowers, rooster leaves, and swan tails. Gable decorated with ancient stucco patterns. The walls of the building are casted according to local patterns. Doors and windows are wooden panels, the presiding Buddha image in the ubosot. The lap size is 1 meter wide. Pang Mara, built in 1947, made of brass. and the apostles Three standing wooden Buddha images, built in 1938, and a stucco Buddha image in meditation posture, built in 1921 (Phanuwat Eua Samal et al. 2018; Fine Arts Department 2022)

Outside the chapel there is a glass wall surrounding it. There are parapets surrounding 8 directions. The parapet looks like a pagoda decorated with Nagas. The base of the facade is the base of the lion.
