According to the history of discovery and study, said The area within the temple is probably the site of one of the ancient sites of the ancient city of Wiang Kuk. because the top 8 stone semaphores were found in the middle and late Dvaravati periods Surveyors assumed to be of a contemporary age with Sai Phong in Laos and Wiang Khuk. After that, it was abandoned for a while when the Khmer culture deteriorated in the upper Mekong Basin. Before Lan Xang culture took its place In which the survey at that time, the temple had filled the ground and poured cement to make the base of the chapel until it was over the sema. Only the top of the stone parapet was left slightly above the ground.

However, a September 2014 survey found about 10 large and small stone parapet fragments clustered at the back or west side of the chapel. which is a newly built chapel The area in front of the monastery There are trees covered.

from interviews with villagers in the area get more information that In the past, there were parapets and stone pillars surrounding the chapel. including at the back of the chapel next to the western temple wall But I don't know exactly where those parapets and stone pillars go.
