archaeological essence

I don't know the history of Wat Chang Tha Nak. But it's probably an important measure. Because it is located outside the city on the north side, in a position almost close to the moat. and is probably the same temple with Wat Chaeng Tai located outside adjacent to the southern city wall.

The remains of the ancient remains of this temple are a brick construction after collapse into a pile of bricks, about 2 meters high. The top has a large perennial plant. The most obvious architectural feature is the plinth built into the square plan. The width of each side is about 5 meters, so it is assumed that it should be a chedi. Other parts of the temple, especially the east side. likely to be eroded by the Mekong River Because the area on the east side adjacent to the ancient site is a slope that descends to the Mekong River. which was caused by the erosion of this river.
