Wat Rangjan Chedi is an abandoned ancient site. Located on U-Thong Road (Highway 324) within the Nong Khao Subdistrict The east side of the chedi is adjacent to U-Thong Road. The north and south are the shoulders of the road. On the west side is a banana plantation. (private land)

Characteristics of the area of ​​Tambon Nong Khao is a mound of soil in a river basin. Around the hill there are traces of a small river. Wat Rangjan Chedi is an abandoned pagoda. The exact history is unknown. looks like a small chedi twelve wooden recess (Approximately 1 meter on each side) Brick masonry, generally deteriorated condition. Although it has been well taken care of by the community and the plaster surface is still quite intact. (It would have been restored later) The shape of the base is a lotus base overlapping 3 layers (the lower part of the lotus base, the lowest layer sinking in the ground), next up is a bell body (with 3 colors of cloth tied around it). The throne, the lotus flower, and the bottom part of the joint? The piece above it was broken. (Currently a lamp is installed at the top) the only height that remains today. From the ground to the top about 3 meters. From the aforementioned architectural style, it is assumed that this chedi may have been built in the Ayutthaya period.

Currently, the area surrounding the chedi has been renovated to make it a sacred place for the community. There is a rough brick fence. Planting ornamental trees, installing lamps, setting up a wooden court, cement court, and installing signs. "Luang Chedi Than Thao Chan" is on the side of the chedi. (North side) the side adjacent to U-Thong Road (East side) There are tables and various offerings.

The history of Ban Nong Khao is When Ayutthaya was the capital Kanchanaburi is a frontier city and an army route. At that time, Nong Khao Sub-district consisted of 2 villages, namely Dong Rang Village. (There is a village temple, which is Wat Som Yai or Wat Yai Dong Rang) and Don Kradueng Village. The war with Burma in the late Ayutthaya period, the villagers of the two villages gathered together to fight the enemy bravely.
