What stone is used in Victoria mamaorial?

The Victoria Memorial in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), West Bengal, India is a large marble building dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria, Empress of India. Begun in 1906, the memorial was completed in 1921. It was designed by Sir William Emerson and is notable for its use of white marble throughout its construction, which was transported to Kolkata from the Makrana quarries in Rajasthan.
