The government leader in the United States during World War II was President Franklin D. Roosevelt. He served as the 32nd President of the United States from 1933 until his death in 1945. During his presidency, Roosevelt implemented a number of New Deal policies aimed at helping the United States recover from the Great Depression. He also played a key role in leading the country during World War II. Roosevelt died of a cerebral hemorrhage in 1945, shortly after the war ended.
