In the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird", there wasn't really any scheme made by town lawyers involved determining which were the true Wilk's brothers. Tom robinson, an African-American man living in the deep south of America during those times was wrongfully accused of raping Mayella Ewell and the court had a difficult time reaching a verdict considering racial tensions within the area and the nature of his innocence.
