Barrister Nawab Hamid Ali Khan was so impressed by his fervent patriotism and personality while appearing for him in the case of Kesari Singh Barhath that he recited Nazm in praise of him on 2 September 1914 in a packed court. In this case, while defending Sri Aurobindo in the Alipore bomb case, the incident of emotional remarks expressed by Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das in relation to his personality was repeated. The poem mentioning Kesari Singh's sacrifice and suffering tolerance was as follows-
