archaeological essence

Wat Chiang Noi Ton Lan has no evidence of when it was built. It is now an abandoned temple. From the evidence of architecture and ancient objects found, it is assumed that it may have been abandoned around the 21st Buddhist century, when Chiang Saen was at its most prosperous. before being abandoned when Chiang Saen broke up during the Burmese expulsion war in 1804.

The ancient remains found today are at least two brick foundations, arranged in the north-south direction. Presumably one of these is a temple? Other constructions The temple's items may be under the Mekong road and the health yard. or may be eroded by the Mekong River along with the eastern city wall.
