Religion is a set of belief systems and beliefs, cultural systems and visions connecting human life with spiritual and morality. In religion, there is often the existence of festivals, prayers, rites related to life and death.

Hinduism

Hinduism is considered to be the oldest among the major religions of the world. At present it is mainly considered as Sanatan Dharma. It is the only religion which has no founder, hence it is also called Sanatan Dharma. The basic basis of Hinduism is considered to be the Vedas, which were composed by the Aryans.

During the Gupta period, idols of various gods and goddesses were made and worshipped. Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Gita etc. are texts related to religion. The Hindu scripture Gita has been declared by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Buddhism

The founder of Buddhism was Gautam Buddha. Hniyan, Mahayana and Varjayana were the main sects. The Sutta Pitaka, the Abhidhammapitaka, and the Vinaya Pitaka are the main texts of religion. Buddha, Dhamma and its three gems. The Four Noble Truths of Buddha have been described.

Propounded the Eightfold Path to get rid of sorrows. It is related to nihilism, vigyanism, and sautantrik Buddhism. Gautam Buddha is also called the light of Asia.

Jainism

The founder of Jainism is Rishabhdev and the real founder is considered to be the 24th (last) Tirthankara Mahavir Swami. Shwetambar and Digambar are the main sects related to Jainism. Kalpasutra, Acharanga Sutra and Bhagwati Sutra are the main texts related to Jainism.

Sikhism

Guru Nanak was the founder of Sikhism. The Adi Granth (Guru Granth Sahib) is the sacred scripture of the Sikhs. Sikhs had 10 gurus. The last Guru was Gobind Singh. Doing deeds, sharing food and chanting the name of the Lord is its main basis. According to this religion, untouchability, conservatism, high and low are all ostentation.

Islam religion

The founder of Islam was Hazrat Muhammad Sahab. It was founded in the seventh century. Siya and Sunni are its main sects. Quran Sharif is the holy scripture of these. The arrival of Islam in India occurred with Arab traders in the 8th century. In Islam, there is a lot of emphasis on Namaz, Roza, Hajj, Zakat etc. There are four main sources of Shariat (religious jurisprudence) - Quran, Ijm of Hadith and Kias.

Christianity

The founder of this religion was Jesus Messiah. This religion was established in the first century AD. Roman Catholic and Protestant are its main denominations. The Bible is its main text, which has two parts - the Old Testament and the New Testament. Christianity arrived in India in the first century AD.

Other Major Religions

The prayer of the people of Torah, Area, Agada, Canada of the holy book of Judaism is called Singang. Due to war about 2000 years ago, the Jews had settled on the Western Ghats of India.

The founder of Zoroastrianism was Mahatma Zarathustra. Zend Avesta is the holy scripture of Zoroastrianism. The Parsis in India settled in Navsari on the Gujarat coast in the seventh century.
