What is the difference in titles Chinggis Khan and Genghis Khan?

Chinggis Khan and Genghis Khan are alternative spellings of the same title. The name "Genghis Khan" is derived from the Mongolian word "chinggis," meaning "ocean" or "universal," and "khan," meaning "ruler" or "leader." The title Chinggis Khan was bestowed upon him in 1206 when he was proclaimed the universal ruler of the Mongol Empire.
