Was SEATO involved in the Vietnam war?

The Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO) was an international organization established in 1954 by eight countries to promote security in Southeast Asia. While SEATO did not have a direct combat role in the Vietnam War, it did provide political support to the United States and its allies. SEATO also provided military assistance to South Vietnam, such as training and equipment, and helped to coordinate economic and social development programs. Additionally, SEATO served as a forum for the United States and its allies to discuss and coordinate their policies on the war.
