The primary religion in the United States during the Vietnam War was Christianity. According to a 1966 Gallup poll, 69% of Americans identified as Protestant, 24% as Roman Catholic, and 3% as Jewish. Other religions, such as Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism, made up the remaining 4% of the population.
