The framework envisioned the establishment of a Palestinian Authority that would govern these territories, with the ultimate goal of achieving a comprehensive peace settlement.
3. Israeli withdrawal from Sinai Peninsula. As part of the peace treaty, Israel agreed to withdraw from the Sinai Peninsula, which it had occupied since the Six-Day War in 1967. The withdrawal was completed in 1982.
