How long did the king of France rule for?

The length of rule for kings of France varied throughout history. The Kingdom of France existed from the late 5th century until the French Revolution in the late 18th century. During that period, there were numerous monarchs, each with different reigns. Some kings ruled for a few months or years, while others had longer reigns spanning several decades. For instance, King Louis XIV, often known as the "Sun King," ruled France from 1643 until his death in 1715, making his reign one of the longest in French history.
