Where was the first bus boycott?

The first bus boycott was in Montgomery, Alabama, United States, in 1955. The boycott was sparked by the arrest of Rosa Parks, an African-American woman who refused to give up her bus seat to a white man. The boycott lasted for 381 days, and ended with a Supreme Court ruling that declared segregation on public transportation to be unconstitutional. The Montgomery Bus Boycott is considered to be a major milestone in the Civil Rights Movement.
