History of Europe

What was one success story about the articles of confederation?

One success achieved under the Articles of Confederation was the successful negotiation and signing of the Treaty of Paris in 1783, officially establishing the United States as a sovereign nation and securing the recognition of its Independence from Great Britain. The treaty recognized the United States' territorial boundaries, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi River and north to Canada, and also secured fishing rights and trade privileges. It was a major diplomatic accomplishment and one of the notable achievements of the Continental Congress under the Articles of Confederation. Despite the weaknesses and limitations of the Articles of Confederation, this diplomatic success demonstrated the ability of the Confederation to conduct international relations and make binding agreements with foreign nations.
