What were Russian nobility called?

Russian nobility had different titles depending on their rank. The most common title was "dvoryanin" or "nobleman". Other titles included:

- "boyar": A hereditary title of high nobility, usually reserved for members of the most powerful and influential families.

- "knyaz": A title equivalent to "prince", usually reserved for members of the former ruling families.

- "graf": A title equivalent to "count", usually granted to foreign noblemen or to Russian noblemen who had achieved significant distinction.

- "baron": A title equivalent to "baron", usually granted to foreign noblemen or to Russian noblemen who had achieved significant distinction.
