What was the German bombs made of juring World War 2?

German bombs during World War 2 were primarily constructed using a combination of high explosives and incendiaries. The most commonly used high explosive in German bombs was trinitrotoluene (TNT), a powerful aromatic explosive compound. TNT was often mixed with other explosives, such as RDX (Research Department Explosive) or PETN (Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate), to increase its explosive power and sensitivity. Incendiary bombs, designed to start fires and cause widespread destruction, were filled with materials such as thermite, white phosphorus, or magnesium. These incendiary agents could ignite buildings, fuel supplies, and other flammable materials with devastating effects. Additionally, some German bombs were equipped with delayed fuses or fragmentation sleeves to maximize damage and increase the likelihood of casualties.
