What did the treaty of brest-litovisk do?

The treaty of Brest-Litovsk between Russian SFSR and the Central Powers was signed on 3 March 1918, during WWI. The treaty of Brest-Litovsk did the following:

- ended the state of war between Russia and the Central Powers

- the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine, Belarus, Livonia, Estonia and Finland

- the recognition by Russia of Ukrainian and Finnish independence

- the ceding of Kars, Ardahan and Batum to the Ottoman Empire

- payment by Russia of 3 billion marks to the Central Powers
