History of Europe

How is communism related to world war 1?

World War 1 and Communism are not directly related. The major causes of World War 1 were imperialism, nationalism, militarism, and the system of alliances between European countries. Communism, on the other hand, is a political and economic ideology that advocates for a classless, stateless society in which the means of production are owned in common. The Russian Revolution of 1917, which established the Soviet Union as the first communist state, occurred after the end of World War 1. However, the ideology of communism did not play a significant role in the causes or events of World War 1.
